New Shots

Hey guys, had a nice and productive little photo trip on Sunday before football started so I thought I'd share -- you can see most of the gallery by clicking in and looking around flickr.

Tolerance

All the shots are from Roosevelt Island, which, lo and behold, is an island dedicated to Teddy Roosevelt. It's like 20 minutes from me.

Comments:
do you use infared film or just the filter? also, are you developing your negs yourself and then printing them, or do you have a store process and print for you? your pics are awesome. how are the classes at SI? i have thought about taking classes there.

Thanks :)

I just use a filter on a d70 -- infrared film is too tough and expensive to process for me. Using an infrared filter on digital means it need a ton of light, but I like the long exposure effect.

I haven't made prints yet -- all of the post processing is on my computer. I really should get some of these blown up.

I took the intro to B+W class at the smithsonian, which was awesome just for the darkroom time. I really recommend it. Drop me a line on flickr if you want to talk technique - struls is probably getting hungry by now.
